SHIKATEMA: FAN-FICTION (chapters are rather short)

CHAPTER 1: Moonlight meeting

"ASUMAAAA!" Shikamaru woke up screaming.
"What the hell?!" Sasuke yelled back.
"sorry, sorry, bad dream. No worries Sasuke...dreams, how troublesome."
"What was the dream?"
"Something about a guy in a black cloak and a huge two...no wait, three-bladed scythe, killing, Asuma. Too blurry to remember."
"Thats kinda weird dude."
"I know."
Sasuke checked the clock, it was 4:00AM.
"Well, Shika, you try and get some sleep ok?"
"Sure...but I don't think I can." Shikamaru paused for a while before starting again "I'm going outside ok, Sasuke?"
"hmm? sure...whatever."
Shikamaru grabbed his clothes and ninja gear and headed outside. -maybe I'll go to the academy weapon range and work on my kunai throwing- he thought to himself. As he wandered the seemingly empty streets of konoha, he recognized many familiar sights. Gaara sitting on the rooftop of his apartment he shared with his brother and sister, the lights of Ichiraku Ramen still on because Choji refused to leave until he was full, the stray dog he had seen every night outside his second story window, he had even given it a name, Buddy. He continued to walk until he saw a shadowy figure up ahead, it was coming towards him. He darted up into a nearby tree and waited for the figure to come closer, he had his hand on the shuriken carrying pouch attached to his leg. He heard faint murmuring in the distance, realizing it was the stranger he saw coming closer, he tensed up.

CHAPTER 2: Twinkies


"Sh-sh...Shikamaru-kun?" Hianta asked timidly "I-is that you?"
At that point, shikamaru jumped out of the tree and landed beside hinata "yeah sorry, thought you might be an enemy ninja"
"Oh, s-sorry."
"It's ok, you kept me on my guard Hinata-sama."
"Um, you're welcome S-Shikamaru kun."
"Well, what are you doing out so late anyways?"
"Oh! Erm, nothing Shikamaru-kun!"
He raised his eyebrow "You sure?"
"Y-yes"
"Hmph, troublesome."
"W-what's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing really, I just like saying it."
"Oh, well...I have to go Shika-kun." He liked his nickname, Hinata gave it to him the day they met, and they became fast friends.
"Well, see ya around Hina-sama" Hinata gave a smile and waved goodbye as she walked away. He turned around and noticed she had broken out into a run
"troublesome women."
As he continued to prowl the lonely streets of Konoha, Shikamaru began noticing a squirrel that seemed to be following him. he inored it and went on. He returned home at 5:18AM, and crawled into the bed beside Sasuke's. He noticed that one of Sasuke's pillows had a hole it hadn't had before he left.
"Hey sasuke?"
"Huh? Hmm? What?"
"Why is there a hole in yor pillow, and why does it feel heavy in here?"
"Erm...I ripped it and you're on drugs."
"Ha Ha" He said sarcastically. He saw a spatter of white near the hole of Sasuke's pillow. "Hey Sasuke?"
"What now!"
"Have you been eating twinkies in here? If you have, theres some cream by your pillow."
Sasuke blushed like mad. "Erm..."
"Waitin' on an answer here buddy."
"Yes, I have been eating twinkies in here."
"Well get that cream up."
"Hold on, I'll get a paper towel."
"It's just twinkie cream right?"
"Erm, yeah."
"Then why not lick it off?"
Sasuke hesitated "because."
"Why? EVERYONE loves twinkie cream!"
Sasuke shuddered "well..."
"Don't tell me you don't like the cream, because I saw you eat two of those twinkies in the cabinet this morning.Cream and all."
"Ummm." was all he could say.
"Fine, go get your cleaning tools, I'm going to bed." Shikamaru said as he pulled off his jounin's jacket.
As He drifted off to sleep, his eyelids drooped shut and a single word, a name, flashed infront of his face, TEMARI.
